Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: September 2026

1. Service Authorization & Identification

By requesting locksmith services from Locksmith Halifax, you affirm and warrant that you are the legally authorized owner, tenant, employee, or designated representative with lawful authority to request entry, key duplication, lock replacement, or security hardware modification on the subject property, commercial facility, or automotive vehicle.

For your security and legal compliance, our technicians reserve the right to request government-issued photo identification and proof of residency/ownership prior to commencing lockout or rekeying work.

2. Pricing & Estimates

Telephone estimates are based on customer descriptions of door hardware, lock condition, and vehicle make/model. The technician will inspect the hardware upon arrival and confirm the final scope and pricing before initiating work.

3. Payment Terms

Full payment is due immediately upon completion of the authorized locksmith services. We accept major Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, Amex), Interac Debit, Cash, and verified E-Transfer.

4. Non-Destructive Entry & Pre-Existing Conditions

While our technicians prioritize non-destructive bypass techniques, certain severely jammed locks, damaged vehicle cylinders, or specialized high-security hardware may require destructive entry if standard picking fails. Technicians will discuss all options with the customer before taking destructive action. Locksmith Halifax is not liable for pre-existing mechanical failure or structural door deterioration.

5. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the applicable federal laws of Canada.
